A record to show your landlord or agent
We provide a waste transfer note for the person who books us. Tenants can keep it and show it to a landlord or agent if there is ever a question about what happened to the furniture and rubbish, and landlords can file it alongside the property paperwork. Councils and universities sometimes publish guidance on how students should dispose of household waste when they leave, so check what applies to your street, but the note is your own record that the waste was taken by a registered carrier.
Questions
Can one housemate book it for everyone?
Yes, and it is the easiest way. Agree who is paying beforehand, because the quote goes to the person who books.
Do you take things the landlord owns?
Only if the landlord has agreed. Furniture supplied with the property usually belongs to them, so ask before it goes in the van.
Can you do it on the last day?
Tell us your date and we will say what is possible. Everyone moves out around the same time, so book as early as you can and do not leave it to the last minute.
Will you take the shared fridge or the old telly?
Put them in the photos. We list what we can take on the quote, and it varies by item.
