Garage clearance in Leeds

Why a garage is harder than it looks
Garages collect the heavy things. Old worktops, cast iron radiators, bags of sand that have set solid, a chest of tools, a workbench bolted to the wall. Small items are stacked in front of them, so the first job is often just getting to the back. Add a lane behind a row of terraces or a shared drive, and the carry to the van is part of the work.
Photos from the doorway do not tell the whole story, so send one from inside as well. We ask about the door, the width of the lane and whether there is a side entrance. It changes how we load.

Show the door, the depth of the garage and how far the van will be from it.
Point out the heavy items
Anything you cannot lift alone belongs in the message. It affects the crew and the price.
Mention anything in tins or bottles

Garage clearance questions
Do you take paint, oil and fuel?
No. We do not carry paint, solvents, fuel, oil or gas bottles. Set them aside and check leeds.gov.uk for current rules on where to take them. We clear everything else.
Can you deal with a garage full to the roof?
Yes. It takes longer and can need two loads. Photos tell us how much is in there, and we say so if a second trip or a second slot is likely.
What about asbestos roof sheets?
We do not take asbestos, or anything you suspect is asbestos. Many older garages have corrugated cement sheeting. If yours might, say so before booking and get it checked by a specialist.
Do I need to move things into the driveway first?
No. We carry from inside. It helps if the way to the back is not blocked by anything you plan to keep.
