Bulky items and the limits of the council route
The council runs a bulky waste collection, and it works for some people. It covers a limited number of items per booking, and you wait for the slot it gives you. If the item needs to leave sooner, or there are more items than the booking allows, you need another route.
Getting a sofa out of a Leeds terrace is a real job. Narrow hallways, tight turns on stairs and flats with no lift are common. Tell us the floor and the stairs when you send photos. We plan the carry before we arrive.

Will you take a sofa from an upstairs flat?
Yes. Tell us the floor and whether there is a lift. Stairs and tight turns are part of the price, and part of how we plan the job.
Do you take mattresses?
Tell us in your photos. Mattresses are a regulated item, and we confirm them on the quote.
Do I need to take the item apart?
No, though it can help if it is a bed frame that will not fit down the stairs. Tell us if it is already dismantled.
Is it cheaper than the council collection?
It depends on the number of items and how quickly you need it gone. Send photos and compare.
