From Armley to Farnley
Armley is the best known part, with its Victorian terraces, its mills and its long main road, plus Armley Mills and the prison on the skyline. New Wortley and Wortley are close by, mixing older streets with housing added later. Further west, Farnley and New Farnley are more suburban, with post-war estates, semis and pockets of open land on the edge of town.
