Every job comes with a waste transfer note describing what was taken and where it was collected from. Keep a copy against the property so that, if a landlord or a tenant later asks what happened to the belongings, you have a dated record to hand. Whether goods left by a tenant can be disposed of is a question about the tenancy agreement and the notices you have served, so check that with your own advisers before you instruct us.
Questions
Can you clear a property while the tenant is still moving out?
Yes, if you agree a time with them and tell us what is staying. It is simpler when the tenant has gone and you hold the keys, but we can work around a tenant who is finishing off.
Do you decide what counts as rubbish?
No. You or the landlord tell us what goes. If anything looks valuable or personal, we would rather pause and ask than guess, so a quick phone call on the day is normal.
What if there is a lot of it, or the flat is up several floors?
Say so in your photos and message. Stairs, no lift and awkward parking all change how long a job takes, and we would rather price them properly than be surprised on the day.
What about appliances and mattresses in a void?
Point them out in your photos and we will confirm what we can take in the quote, flat by flat.
