The preparation is the hard part
Before we can move a tub, it needs to be drained and the power supply disconnected. Water and electricity are a bad mix, so the disconnecting should be done by a qualified person, not by us and not by trial and error on the day. Draining also takes far longer than people think, so start well ahead and let the shell dry out, because a damp tub is a heavier tub.
Then there is the sheer size. An empty acrylic tub is often several hundred kilos of awkward shape, with a fixed shell and a timber or plastic cabinet round it. Some come out through a wide gate, some need a route across the lawn, and some have been craned over a fence and can only leave the same way. Photos of the gate width and the ground beneath the tub help us plan the carry and the number of people.
The pump, heater and any control box are electrical items. Do not assume they are included: tell us about them when you send photos and we confirm what we can take before the day.

What happens to the tub
A tub that still works and has been looked after might have a second life, though we cannot promise it. Most end up broken down: acrylic and plastic shells are hard to recycle, so energy recovery is common, while timber cabinets and any metal framing are recycled where possible.
Covers are usually foam and vinyl, and generally follow the same route as the shell. We do not name a destination for a particular tub.

Do you drain the tub for us?
No. It must be drained and made safe before we arrive. If you are unsure how, the supplier or an electrician can advise.
Will you take the pump and heater?
Do not assume so. They are electrical parts, so mention them when you send photos and we confirm on the quote.
What about the base it sits on?
Say what it is. A plain paved area stays as it is. A concrete pad or built-in decking is a separate piece of work, so show it in your photos.
Can you remove it if it is set into decking?
Often yes, but we need to see how it is fixed. Decking removal may be needed as well, and we can quote both.
