Small items, big tangle
Individually a bicycle is light, but together they tangle: handlebars hook onto pedals, wheels jam between frames, and chains leave grease on everything. Children's bikes with stabilisers, prams with folded hoods and scooters with bent stems all take a surprising amount of van space. Count them rather than guessing.
Electric bikes and scooters are the exception to mention first. They carry a lithium battery, and batteries need handling with care, so tell us in advance about any e-bike, e-scooter or mobility scooter, and whether the battery is still fitted or has been removed. We then confirm what we can take before the day. Also mention car seats, helmets and trailers if you want them gone, since these are separate items.

Where bikes go
Bikes and scooters in reasonable working order can sometimes be reused, so if yours is one of them, say so and we keep it apart where we can. We cannot promise where a particular bike goes.
Frames, wheels and chains are steel or aluminium and go for metal recycling. Tyres, saddles and pram fabric are harder to recycle and usually go for energy recovery rather than landfill.

Do you take electric bikes?
Mention them first. They contain a battery that needs care, so tell us what it is and we confirm what we can take before the day.
Can you take prams and pushchairs?
Yes. Say how many, and whether they fold. Car seats can be added if you show them.
Is it worth booking for just one bike?
It can go with other items if you are clearing more. Otherwise a single collection is still possible, so ask for a quote.
My bike is in good condition. Can it be reused?
Possibly. Tell us and we set it aside where we can, though we cannot promise a route or a destination.
