Records for your file
We issue a waste transfer note for each job, recording what was collected and from which address. It can be filed with your maintenance and refurbishment records, alongside whatever other documentation your provider or registered manager keeps. Clinical waste, sharps, medicines and anything that has been in contact with body fluids are specialist waste streams that need specialist handling. If you have any of those, tell us at the start, and we will say plainly what we can and cannot take.
Questions
Do you take hoists, profiling beds or other equipment?
Mention any equipment in your photos. Some items belong to the supplier or need specialist handling, so we would rather check than take something we should not.
Can you avoid the busy parts of the day?
That is the aim. Tell us your quiet hours and we will plan around them, although we cannot promise a fixed arrival time on every job.
What about belongings left by a resident?
We only take what your team or the family has told you to clear. Personal items and paperwork should be set aside and passed to the family before we arrive.
Can you take away old mattresses and appliances when we refurbish?
Photograph them and say so in your message. The quote tells you which we can take, and we will not turn up assuming.
